Building A Website Network

Monday, October 27th, 2008

If you are just a blogger, then you are maybe building one site where you hope to make your presence felt, but this approach is what’s known as putting all your eggs in one basket.

Futhermore, most successful bloggers are doing it mostly for fun like me, they didn’t start out with a blog. The blog is more like something to post to at the end of the day to relax.

What you should really be doing if you want to build a business online is to have layers of sites that form a network.

The top layer comprises your non-profit sites that attract links and page rank. These are important tools that let you link to your money-making sites where it can be difficult to get inbound links.

Then you can interlink between all these sites and their various hosting and IP addresses. Plus, you will link exchange and link out to sites of merit, related to your network of sites. This is what the web is about, linking like a spider web between many websites.

Just keep building more and more sites and linking between sites. And play around with different web hosts and domain registrars. Build your web empire.

Participate in comments on blogs and link to your sites, adopt various online persona’s and personalities. Dip in and out of forums with starter topics that provide incredible information to the participants of that forum, seed your forum signature with links to your sites.

Blog on the hot topics in Google Trends, use keywords from search engine tools. Blog and ping these topics.

Diversify your media, host images and video in various places that link back to your network.

Create pen names that are unique on the web and use them as article authors.
